This week we started our project of ants and like any project should start from the interests of children. For this reason, on the first day they held an assembly where the children in the class are asked what we want to learn about ants. Each child wrote on a piece of paper what they wanted to learn about them.

From this session come many concepts to work on. They started by learning the body parts of ants and counting them. Then they did the same with the parts of the human body and compared them with those of the ants. The children really enjoyed these activities and assimilated the concepts very well.

Through these activities we have worked on literacy, mathematical concepts, as well as learning interesting facts about ants.
